Let’s go shopping!

In this time of lockdown it’s good to just experiment with different ways of continuing in business and keeping things going. So I have decided to add some small gift items to my website for you to buy.

Everything is on a floral theme and ideal for a lovely present or maybe you want to just spoil yourself. I personally have my eyes on those gin glasses, they are so pretty. Imagine gin and flowers woah!!!

I have also added another page with soap bouquets for you to buy too. If you have visited my little studio in Derby you will have seen these and probably purchased one. They look so realistic and smell gorgeous. The flowers heads can be popped in a nice relaxing bath or you can use the petals as hand soap.

All of these gifts can be sent by post within the UK and the postage is included in the price. Please do let me know if you are local to me here in Derby as a contactless delivery can be considered as an alternative. Send me a message to save on postage and I’ll up date your price to pay. Payment is by Paypal at the moment but if you don’t have a PayPal account, send me your email address and I will send you a payment link.

Easy eh? If you want to ask any questions or want to know more then do not hesitate to get in touch. You can contact me here on the website or on any of the social media pages.

The links to the shop pages are here: for gifts: https://suzybluesflowers.com/shop/ and for soap bouquets https://suzybluesflowers.com/soap-bouquets/

Happy shopping!!

Future Planning

This is what my office looks like at the moment. Well I don’t really have an office anyway, this is just me doing the admin in my living room. Like many I suppose, this set may look familiar at this time but not everyone has a flower pen eh?

The creativity has stopped for the moment and I have decided to take some time to plan for the future. The fact that my diary is open at August may seem a little optimistic? Well maybe, this National crisis will be over when it’s the right time for it to be over, until then we have to make the best of it. I don’t know about you…..I would like to be well and have the ability to get to August.

So if there is one advantage of a lockdown it is to stop for a moment and think, think about business and where it can go from here. We can all give up or we can find alternative ways to keep going and ride out this storm.

Now that I have a few items on my little store here on my website I will be adding a few more gift ideas on a floral theme. We have some gin glasses (if I haven’t pinched them all), some scarves, mugs, hanging plaques and candles so keep an eye out for those. You can purchase them here through PayPal and I can post them to you.

For further into the future when the studio will be full of blooms again I intend to expand the business with my own range of letterbox flowers and also start offering a flower preservation service for anyone who wants to keep their wedding bouquets or maybe have a keepsake from a loved ones sympathy flowers. I got to thinking that people invest a lot of their savings into flowers, why not be able to hang onto those special ones.

So keep following me here or on my social media pages for any updates. It is a tough time but for me it’s trying to be positive that gets me through. It’s not always possible, there are some days that I feel I take one huge step back but it’s thought of going two big welly style leaps forward that I like……the bigger the wellies the bigger the future……even with my size 5’s I’m in?

Take care, stay safe and see you all soon.

I do love a Wedding

This is a Thursday throwback to November last year. A beautiful wedding where the bride chose the most eloquent choice of flowers for their theme and for the time of year too. We used a range of foliage, hypericum berries, deep red roses and ivory roses. The bridal bouquets were created in a wild bohemian style and to match those we created wreaths for the tables and a large display for the top table.

Oh I do love a wedding and I remember my little studio being full of blooms for this occasion. If you have visited me at Markeaton Park you will know that my studio is small but kind of like the tardis from Doctor Who, always seems bigger on the inside. Plenty of room to get creating and put together the designs to make your special day.

I know it’s a time when many of you have had to postpone wedding plans and that must be a massive disappointment, but just as I have said to couples who have already booked their weddings with me, we will re arrange and you will get your time to shine.

If you are planning a wedding for the future and you would like to chat, remember we can do this online by video call or you can send a message or email with your plans and I will get back to you.

Keep smiling and keep planning, we will get through this!!
