I love roses, in fact I love most flowers but there is something about the rose.
It symbolises purity, innocence and spirituality and is used as a gesture of devotion. This is probably why it is widely used for weddings and here is pictured as a single buttonhole.
It was used as a declaration of love until being taken over by the red rose which we tend to associate with love and Valentines Day. I think the single white rose looks classy and although nice on it’s own it can be accompanied by other flowers to make a larger button hole to be worn by a partner.
So I use this single rose as a symbol of innocence – the start of something new and offer it as a message of hope too in that I hope you will visit it here again for more of my flower projects and insights.
Thank you for now and I will be back for more very soon.
